The Jeep Wrangler crossed Mexico again in 2005, this time with another 94′ Wrangler owned by Chris Daigle of Lafayette, LA. They covered large sections of the country and, pictured here, crossed just about anything in their path. The black Wrangler has been completely rebuilt for use in Southern Louisiana. (Check our section – Zoofactory 4WD). The white Jeep is poised for reconstruction and conditioning to prepare for yet another, longer trip into Central America as a launching point into South America.
Please visit http://www.jeepyj.wordpress.com for more information on the reconstruction of the vehicle. 15 years of Michigan winters and crossing the continent have left the frame and suspension in need of repair. Additionally, the team will be adding necessary upgrades for the expected +20,000 mile trip The new blog currently has little content, but information will be added very soon.
Zoofactory, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan has agreed to use its thermal management ceramic coatings, corrosion coatings, and abrasion coatings on every component available. The vehicle currently dismantled and is undergoing a variety of repairs and upgrades. Please visit to see the progress, make comments or suggestions.

Zoofactory Coatings helped Chris Daigle out of Lafeyette, LA with his Ford 302 5.0L upgrade for in 1994 Jeep Wrangler. That’s gonna be a whole lot of engine for him to handle, but should prove valuable in the swamps of southern Louisiana.

We’ve spent the past few years helping racers, street rodders, motorcycle exhaust manufacturers and the U.S Army with their coating needs and save for a few bumps in the road, we’ve done well. We joke amongst ourselves at the shop and tell one another that successfully surviving the start up of a manufacturing company in Michigan these days is a pretty amazing feat all by itself. Aside from the commitment to succeed from the people invovled, it just goes to show how good the ceramic coating industry is and it has a bright future.
We believe a big part of that future is with the commercial truck market. For five years we’ve been keeping our noses to the grindstone doing our very best to collect data, conduct tests, and promote the information that we have compiled to the trucking companies, their clients, and owner operators across the board.
Our commitment is starting to show some results. Our most recent test results are showing a 2/10ths per mile improvement on some of the largest trucks on the road. With the cost of diesel continuing to rise, we know we’ve got a winner. The really cool part about ceramic technology on the larger trucks is that it actually does improve fuel economy with our robbing the vehicle of horsepower and torque. To the contrary, we’re actually seeing an increase in both the latter. Additionally, becuase of the increased temperatures confined in the exhaust and turbocharger due to the coating doing its job, the particulates in the exhaust system of further burned diminishing the carbon footprint of every vehicle we apply the technology to.
In short, we believe we can do the following with our technology:
1. Improve fuel economy upward of 10%
2. Save $.03 to $.08 cents per mile with a diesel truck
3. Increase horsepower and torque
4. Increase part life
5. Decrease the carbon footprint.
Check with us or your local ceramic coatings provider to see how they can help you or someone you know get this technology on any vehicle that is stressing the owner’s budget. This is a win win situation for all. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at 269-352-4503. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have the most important ones.

Zoofactory is trade name of Zoofactory Coating Systems, LLC located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA.
Currently, the company provides ceramic coating services for high temperature and corrosion resistant applications for industrial and automotive markets. Ceramic coatings properly applied can improve fuel economy, horsepower, and torque, while increasing longevity of part life. Temperatures up to 2000F can be effectively managed with this technology.
Turbochargers, exhaust manifolds, downpipes, and other exhaust related components utilizing a combination of this technology can return a fuel economy improvement upwards of 10%. Depending on the current mile per gallon cost of any particular truck or fleet, the technology can assist in significantly reducing the fuel consumption, the carbon footprint, as well as extend the life of the components coated. Reports have shown an improvement of 2/10ths of a mile per gallon for carriers getting 6.8 MPG (miles per gallon) improved to 7.0 MPG. Simple formulas can assist any owner operator or fleet manager estimate the potential savings in fuel costs if using the technology when compared to running without it.
