Zoofactory commences on Department of Defense Contract

Zoofactory Coating Systems, LLC has passed First Article Test Inspection with Rock Island Arsenal and is commencing the application of ceramic coatings on helical coil springs for the M109A6 Paladin Howitzer. The Self-Propelled artillery piece boast a 155 mm howitzer and will be in production for active service for at least another 20 years. As of August 1st, 2009, Zoofactory is in full production of the contract previously awarded this year.

Zoofactory Coatings Sponsors Rebuild of Expedition Series Jeep Wrangler

Zoofactory Coatings is providing complete coatings application sponsorship and financial support for the rebuild of an Expedition Series Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep (white – pictured below) has successfully traversed Mexico’s continental divide on four separate occasions, and in 2002 was driven to Honduras via the Jungle Route through Guatemala. The vehicle’s owner says it’s time for a serious repair and upgrade to protect the structural integrity of the frame and ultimately the vehicle’s longevity.

The Jeep Wrangler crossed Mexico again in 2005, this time with another 94′ Wrangler owned by Chris Daigle of Lafayette, LA. They covered large sections of the country and, pictured here, crossed just about anything in their path. The black Wrangler has been completely rebuilt for use in Southern Louisiana. (Check our section – Zoofactory 4WD). The white Jeep is poised for reconstruction and conditioning to prepare for yet another, longer trip into Central America as a launching point into South America.

Additionally, the team will be adding necessary upgrades for the expected +20,000 mile trip The new blog currently has little content, but information will be added very soon.

Zoofactory, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan has agreed to use its thermal management ceramic coatings, corrosion coatings, and abrasion coatings on every component available. Larry Mielke chooses Zoofactory High Temperature Ceramic Coating

Zoofactory Coating Systems in Kalamazoo, Michigan completed the ceramic coating application on Larry Mielke’s 5.0 Motor for his 67′ Coupe. Larry opted for the 2000F high temperature black ceramic. This will increase his horsepower, torque, and actually improve fuel economy. How does it work? By using this type of thermal barrier on the exhaust, we’re able to increase the velocity at which exhaust gases flow, thereby reducing backpressure on the engine. Thanks to Larry provided us with pictures of the engine and of his ”67 coupe.

The engine is a 5.0 HO bored .030 over. It has a Crane Roller Cam with a 110* lift and 220* duration.

I have an AOD with a shift kit and a 2500 rpm stall converter a 4:11 equal-lok rear end. The whole suspension came off a 70′ Mach 1.

Zoofactory Coatings helped Chris Daigle out of Lafeyette, LA with his Ford 302 5.0L upgrade for in 1994 Jeep Wrangler. That’s gonna be a whole lot of engine for him to handle, but should prove valuable in the swamps of southern Louisiana.
